I wasn't really familiar with Levon Helm before I started this painting. He's the drummer of the band called The Band, which I find pretty amusing. I just got into Neutral Milk Hotel's second album "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" a few days ago. I highly recommend it. It's something about the lyrics that's so visually nightmarish, haunting, disturbing, yet poetically beautiful and down-to-earth once you start to decipher it. Yay for music!
